Tallmadge teen Ravyn Edge spent 15 days in China from July 16 through 30 as part of a group called The Bridge to China Program sponsored through Cleveland State University. While she was there, she spent five days in Bejing and 10 days in Kinming, studying the culture of China and taking classes at the YunNan Normal University. She also found time to visit the Great Wall of China, the Stone Forest, the Forbidden City, and a host of museums, to name a few. Ravyn, who has been studying Chinese for over two years, will begin her freshman year at STEM High School. She runs track and cross country and is on the City of Akron Mayor's Advisory Board called Peacemakers. When she graduates from high school, Ravyn plans to major in engineering and minor in Chinese.
