Brown St. in Akron

(until further notice)

Brown St. under I-76/I-77 is currently closed through late August for a bridge deck removal. The detour is E. Thornton St. to Grant St. to Morgan Ave. to Brown St. This work is part of a $930,000 project to make various pavement repairs on SR 8 between Graham Rd. and SR 303. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late September 2016.

 

Route 8 in Cuyahoga Falls, Stow and Hudson

SR 8 between Graham Rd. and SR 303 is reduced to two lanes in each direction for pavement repairs.

SR 8 between Graham Rd. and SR 303 is reduced to one lane in each direction nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for pavement repairs. This work is part of a $930,000 project to make various pavement repairs on SR 8 between Graham Rd. and SR 303. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late September 2016.

Route 18 in Bath & Copley Townships

(Monday, August 15 - until further notice)

Beginning Monday, August 15, SR 18/Medina Rd. will have various daily lane restrictions between Hametown Rd. and Medina Line Rd. for roadway construction.

SR 18/Medina Rd. between I-77 and Hametown Rd. has occasional lane restrictions for roadway widening. This work is part of a $7.7 million project to widen SR 18/Medina Rd. between Hametown Rd. and I-77 and to resurface SR 18/E. Market St. between I-77 and the western Akron Corporation limit. The entire project is scheduled to be completed mid- October 2016.

 

Interstate 76 in the City of Akron

(until further notice)

The following lane restriction and ramp closures are currently in place through late November:

I-76 between Grant St. and Inman St. is reduced to two lanes in each direction.

I-76 eastbound entrance ramp from Grant St. is CLOSED. The detour is Thornton St. to Main St.

The ramp from I-77 northbound to I-76 westbound is CLOSED. The detour is I-277 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound.

The ramp from SR 8 southbound to I-77 northbound/I-76 westbound will be CLOSED. The detour is I-77 southbound to I-277 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound.

The ramp from I-76 eastbound to I-77 southbound is CLOSED. The detour is I-76/Kenmore Leg westbound to I-277 eastbound to I-77 southbound.

This work is part of a $15.6 million project to remove three bridge on I-76/I-77 over Johnston St. The project also includes the relocation of Johnston St. between Spicer St. and Brown St. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2017.

 

Interstate 76 in Norton and Barberton

(until further notice)

I-76 between the Medina County line and Central Ave. has various nightly lane restrictions through early August for pavement repairs.

(Monday, August 15 - Thursday, August 18)

Beginning Monday evening, August 15 at 10 p.m., Barber Rd. under I-76 will be closed through Thursday morning, August 18, at 6 a.m., for the demolition of the I-76 bridge over Barber Rd. The detour will be SR 261 to Cleveland Massillon Rd. to Norton Rd. This work is the beginning of an $80.4 million project to reconstruct the pavement on I-76 between the Medina County line and Central Ave. The project also includes the widening of I-76 between SR 21 and Central Ave. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2019.

I-76 westbound between SR 18/E. Market St. and Brittain Rd. is reduced to two lanes through late August for bridge repairs. During this time, the following ramp is closed:

SR 18/E. Market St. to I-76 westbound is CLOSED. The detour is SR 18/E. Market St. to SR 241/Innovation Way to 3rd Ave.

I-76 eastbound between SR 241/Innovation Way and Arlington Rd. is reduced to two lanes through late August for bridge repairs. During this time, the following ramp is closed.

SR 241/Innovation Way to I-76 eastbound is CLOSED. The detour is SR 241/Innovation Way to SR 18/E. Market St.

(Wednesday, August 17 - Wednesday, August 24)

Beginning Wednesday, August 17, I-76 westbound will be reduced to two lanes between Brittan Rd. and Arlington Rd. through Wednesday, August 24 for bridge repairs. During this time the following ramps will be closed:

I-76 westbound to Arlington St. The detour will be Inman St. to Johnston St. to Arlington St.

SR 241/Innovation Way to I-76 westbound. The detour will be 3rd Ave.

General St. to I-76 westbound. The detour will be SR 18/E. Market St. to SR 241/Innovation Way to 3rd Ave.

Brittain Rd. to I-76 westbound. The detour will be SR 18/E. Market St. to 3rd Ave.

This work is part of an $8.6 million project to perform various bridge repairs on I-76 between the Kenmore Leg and Portage County line. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late October 2016.

 

Interstate 77 South in tGreen & Coventry Township

(August 18 - until further notice)

Beginning Monday, August 18, I-77 northbound and southbound between SR 241 and Killian Road will have various nightly lane restrictions between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for asphalt resurfacing. This work is the beginning of a $3.5 million project to resurface I-77 between SR 241 and Killian Rd. The project also includes various bridge repairs. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by mid-November.

 

Interstate 77 in Akron & Fairlawn; Copley & Bath Townships & the Village of Richfield

(until further notice)

I-77 between Ridgewood Rd. and the Cuyahoga County line has various nightly lane restrictions through late August for crack sealing operations. These restrictions will occur nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. This work is part of a $1.6 million project to crack seal various routes through Ashtabula, Mahoning, Portage, Stark & Summit Counties. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by mid-October 2016

 

State Route 82 in Twinsburg

(Friday, August 12 - until further notice)

Beginning Friday, August 12, SR 82 between Chamberlain Rd. and Wilcox Dr. will have various daily lane restrictions through late August for pavement repairs. This work is the beginning of a $780,000 project to make pavement repairs to various routes in Portage, Stark & Summit Counties. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by September 2016.

 

Interstate 271 in Boston Township

(until further notice)

I-271 northbound between I-80/Ohio Turnpike and Riverview Rd. has various nightly lane restrictions through late August for crack sealing operations. These restrictions will occur nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. This work is part of a $1.6 million project to crack seal various routes through Ashtabula, Mahoning, Portage, Stark & Summit Counties. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by mid-October 2016

 

ONGOING

Cleveland Massillon Rd. in Norton

(until further notice)

Cleveland Massillon Rd. between Greenridge Rd. and Pleasant Dr. has various lane restrictions through late September for the placement of temporary pavement. This work is part of a $2.2 million project to widen Cleveland Massillon Rd. between Greenridge Rd. Rd. to and Pleasant Dr. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late September 2017.

 

North Van Buren Ave. & Fairview Ave. in Barberton

(until further notice)

The following routes will have various daily lane restrictions for resurfacing.

N. Van Buren Ave. between Robinson Ave. and Fairview Ave.

Fairview Ave. between Norton Ave. to SR 619

This work is part of a $600,000 project to resurface N. Van Buren Ave. between Robinson Ave. and Fairview Ave. and Fairview Ave. between Norton Ave. and SR 619. Then entire project is scheduled to be completed by late October 2016.

 

Route 82 in Macedonia

(until further notice)

Shephard Rd. on the north side of SR 82 is closed through early September for roadway reconstruction. The detour is SR 82 to N. Bedford Rd. to Ledge Rd.

SR 82 between Alexandria Dr. and Longwood Park is reduced to one ten foot lane in each direction for roadway widening. This work is part of a $4.6 million project to resurface and widen SR 82 between Alexandria Drive and the Twinsburg Corporation limit. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by September 2016.

 

Route 91 in Twinsburg

(until further notice)

Glenwood Ave. on the west side of SR 91 is closed through early September for roadway reconstruction. The detour is SR 91 to OFC Joshua Miktarian Memorial Pkwy to Ravenna Rd.

SR 91 between Post Rd. and Glenwood Dr. has various daily lane restrictions for drainage installation and widening of the southbound side of SR 91. This work is part of a $4.7 million project to widen and reconstruct SR 91 between Post Rd. and Glenwood Dr. The project also includes drainage repairs and the installation of a roundabout on SR 91 and Glenwood Dr. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by November 2016.

 

Route 91 in Tallmadge

(until further notice)

SR 91 (North Ave.) southbound between Howe Rd. and the Tallmadge Circle is closed through mid-December for roadway widening. The detour is E. Howe Rd. to SR 261 (Northeast Ave.) For more information please contact the City Tallmadge at 330-633-0854

 

Interstate 271 in Macedonia

(until further notice)

SR 82 between SR 8 and S. Bedford Rd. has various nightly lane restrictions for roadway widening.

I-271 between SR 8 and the Cuyahoga County line has various lane restrictions for roadway widening.The speed limit in this area is reduced to 50 mph during construction. This work is part of a $50.9 million project to reconstruct and widen I-271 between SR 8 and the Cuyahoga County line. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by October 2016.

 

Interstate 271 in Northfield Center Township

(until further notice)

I-271 southbound one mile south of SR 8 is reduced to two 10 foot lanes for a slope repair. This work is part of a $1.8 million project to repair the slope on the southbound side of I-271 just north of Brandywine Rd. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by mid-October 2016.

Interstate 271 in Richfield Village & Richfield Township

(until further notice)

The following ramps are closed through late August for pavement reconstruction:

The ramp from I-271 southbound to SR 303 is CLOSED. The detour is I-271 southbound to I-77 southbound to Wheatley Rd. to Brecksville Rd. to SR 303.

The ramp from SR 303 to I-271 southbound is CLOSED. The detour is SR 303 to Brecksville Rd. to I-271 southbound.

I-77 under I-271 has various nightly lane restriction for bridge construction continuing through mid-August. These restrictions will occur nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Motorists traveling on I-271 northbound from just north of the Medina County line to the Ohio Turnpike should be aware of a bi-directional traffic pattern. Although two lanes of traffic are maintained in each direction on I-271 southbound, traffic is now split, with one lane of southbound traffic crossed over onto I-271 northbound, while the second lane remains on I-271 southbound side. This work is part of a $46.4 million project to reconstruct the pavement along I-271 from Broadview Rd. to the Ohio Turnpike. Then entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2017.

 

Route 303 in the Village of Boston Heights and Village of Peninsula

(until further notice)

SR 303 from I-271 to just west of Olde 8 Rd. has various daily lane restrictions for resurfacing through early September. This work is part of $800,000 project to resurface SR 303 between I-271 and just west of Olde 8 Rd. The project also includes various bridge repairs to the SR 303 bridge over the Cuyahoga River. The entire project is schedule to be completed by early September 2016.

 

Route 303 in the Village of Boston Heights

(until further notice)

SR 303 just west of Olde 8 Rd. is reduced to one lane maintained by a traffic signal through early September for a bridge rehabilitation. During this time, traffic exiting the Metroparks Trailhead onto SR 303 and on Olde 8 Rd. at the intersection with SR 303 will NOT be permitted to make right turns.

SR 303 just west of Olde 8 Rd. is reduced to one lane in each direction for a bridge rehabilitation. This work is part of a $1.2 million project to rehabilitate the SR 303 bridge over the Hike and Bike Trail, just west of Olde 8 Rd. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by early September 2016.
