Tallmadge City Schools Superintendent Jeff Ferguson told the Board of Education Aug. 17 the opening day of school had gone smoothly for three of the district's four schools; however, dismissal at Munroe proved problematic, with the superintendent asking for parents' patience. He acknowledged buses arrived later than expected, but reminded parents that bus times are approximate for the first week or so of classes and pointed out construction in the city poses an additional challenge this year. Ferguson also asked parents who are picking up youngsters at Munroe to arrive at 3:10 p.m., when buses depart the school.
