On March 9, Tallmadge City School District’s Leaders in Action will host a silent auction at Tallmadge High School, located at 140 N. Munroe Road, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This is the second year this event has taken place.
Leaders in Action is the high school’s student-lead leadership and service organization. Members have been working to organize and fundraise for the event.
The silent auction is open to all Tallmadge and surrounding area residents who would like to attend. Tickets will be sold at the door for $2. Entry into the event includes light refreshments and snacks, as well as student entertainment.
All proceeds will benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, Haven of Rest and the Alzheimer’s Association.
All baskets and gifts for the silent auction were donated by the school and community organizations and businesses.
The silent auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. and bidding will close promptly at 8:15 p.m. Winners will be announced at 8:30 p.m., and baskets and gifts will be given out between 8:30-9 p.m.
“We are looking forward to the second annual silent auction,” said Superintendent Jeff Ferguson. “This is a fun way to raise money for three great organizations. We hope to see everyone there!”
