In spite of the balmy pre-spring weather, nearly 700 people spent several hours inside the Tallmadge Recreation Center Feb. 24 for the ninth annual Family Fun Night. Kids of all ages were surrounded with fun things to do, including inflatables, carnival games and prizes, crafts and face painting and two amazing balloon artists. The petting zoo gave families the chance to “talk to the animals,” including a camel, yak, miniature cow, kangaroos, sheep, alpaca, goats and a large tortoise. “Thank yous need to go out to all of the high school students who volunteered their time to help with face painting, crafts and clean up,” says Tallmadge recreation Center Program Coordinator Renee Kaufman. “It was such a fun night with the community. I love seeing all of the smiles!" For more photos, see Sunday's Express.
