Munroe students cook up culinary delights

Munroe Elementary School hosted its annual Cooking Contest Feb. 23. A time honored tradition, the PTA-sponsored Cooking Contest has been held at Munroe for over 20 years. Participation in the contest is open to students in each grade level. A handful of Tallmadge High School students were drafted to serve as judges. Awards were presented in the following categories: Appetizers & Snacks; Breads & Muffins; Brownies & Bar Cookies; Cakes; Cookies; Desserts; Pies & Cheesecakes; and Best Presentation. And the winners were:

APPETIZERS & SNACKS

1st Place: Mushroom Caps by Jocelyn Lara

2nd Place: Tortellini Skewers by Joey Naiman

3rd Place: Green Bean Casserole Mini's by Wraiden Scott
