May 19, 2007 - Jacob McWhirter of Tallmadge, OH driving for Victory Racing competed in his first World Karting Association Regional at the .7 mile, 10 turn Circleville Raceway Park. This was the first race of the Great Lakes Sprint Series. Race day concluded with Jake finishing where he qualified, 5th. Through the two practice sessions, qualifying, heat and feature races, Jake set personal bests each time on the track. The feature race had Jake running under 50 second laps with speeds just under 51 mph.

Memorial Day weekend has Jake returning to Barberton Speedway to race under the lights for the first time this season.

Jacob wants to congratulate his Tallmadge Little League Minor A White Sox as they notched two wins while he raced.
