The family-owned Diamond Cafe, 17 Metric Drive, offers patrons a combination of varietal coffees, baked goods and jewelry.

Housed in the former Cevasco Jewelers building and owned and operated by Cathy Cevasco, the cafe menu includes frozen and hot coffee drinks, smoothies and Italian sodas, as well as homemade muffins, cookies and biscotti.

The jewelry section offers a broad range of items, ranging from everyday accessories to pearls and diamonds. Custom orders may be placed, incorporating customer designs. On-site jewelry repair is also available.

Cevasco said she envisions the cafe as a "hub of local activity, where business meetings, book signings and other special events can bring the community together." She invites the community members to think of the Diamond Cafe as an extension of their living rooms -- a place to chat or play games or just sip tea and read a book. Wi-Fi Internet service makes the cafe a full-service meeting facility or alternative office.
