Catalytic converter removed from truck

Tallmadge -- On March 3, the owner of a Commerce Street business told police sometime over the weekend, someone removed a catalytic converter, valued at $300, from a locked company truck.

Theft

March 2. Cash, storage item removed from home: A Wring Drive woman told police someone removed $30 cash and a music storage device valued at $300 from her home. Police are pursuing a lead.

March 2. Man charged with theft of beer: Police arrested a Tallmadge man and charged him with theft and disorderly conduct, police report discovering him sitting on Southeast Avenue, intoxicated, around 1:20 a.m. after having allegedly removed a 22-ounce can of beer from a Southeast Avenue business without paying for it.

Criminal damage

Feb. 29. Snowballs break apartment window: A South Avenue woman told police around 9 p.m., someone threw snowballs at her apartment, breaking a window. Damage was estimated at $100.

Possession of drugs

March 2. Man charged with marijuana possession: Police arrested a Hartville man and charged him with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Tallmadge Circle at 6:30 p.m. where officers reported discoveries of 4.3 grams of marijuana, two Percocet and a silver pipe with marijuana residue in the suspect's vehicle. He was booked at the Tallmadge Police Department and transported to the Summit County Jail.
