In regards to the proposed section 8 building at Metric Drive, I read the comments made by Anthony Cariotus, an AHEPA member, who stated " I sympathize with the the neighbors, but the project is a plus for the community."
I am confused. Is he not aware that the properties on Cambrian and Greenbriar are part of the community of Tallmadge? That we have children that are honor students in the local school districts. That we support all of the area businesses and are gainfully employed, hard-working, high mortgage and tax paying citizens of the community of Tallmadge. That we are teachers, nurses, professors, and most of all, parents.
Parents of children whose backyard would be ruined by the presence of such a large building. That we all paid alot for our homes and feel upset that our property value is at stake.
I urge anyone that can, to please attend the meeting scheduled for April 7, 2008 at 7:00pm to please do so. Who knows what the council will want in your back yard.
