MARY LOU LANCE Enjoyed gardening, inspirational music Mary Lou Lance, nee Henderson, born in Akron Feb. 11, 1936 and a resident of Tallmadge for a number of years, died March 25, 2008. Preceded in death by her daughter, Becky; her parents, George and Lelia Henderson; and her sister, Helen Thompson; she is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bruce; her daughters, Cathy and Leslie (Joe) Derrig; three grandsons, Pace, Vincent and Victor, all of Tallmadge; sister, Dorris Caruso; and friend, Joyce, with whom she spent many happy times in her childhood. Mrs. Lance was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church. She retired from Summa Health System after 20 years of service as a financial counselor. She loved the outdoors, working in her flower beds, listening to inspirational music and dabbling in art. Memorials may be made to Community of Christ Church, 1587 W. Exchange St., Akron 44313, Attn: Hunger Fund. Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Comments
