Queen of Heaven Church Community breakfast A Sunday Community Breakfast has been set for April 6 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and first Sunday of each month. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and accompaniments. Cost -- Preschool children $2, all others $4 Ladies Guild The Ladies Guild will meet April 9 and on the second Wednesday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 5 of the Parish Life Center to build vibrant, lasting Christian relationships through spiritual fellowship, service and social works. Young at Heart Group
The Young at Heart Group will meet April 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Room 8 of the Parish Life Center. A representative from the Summit County Sheriff's office will speak on safety. The group meets all year long on the first Monday of each month and is open to all 55 years of age or older. Meetings include a guest entertainer, speaker or an activity; socialization and dessert. Dues are $2 per month. Boy Scouts to host
A spaghetti dinner will be hosted by Boy Scout Troop 334 April 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The dinner includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, coffee or punch. Cost is $6 for adults; $4 for children 10 and younger. An ice cream sundae bar will be available for $1. Tickets can be purchased from Scouts or at the door. Dinner/dance, silent auction set for April 16 A dinner/dance with oral and silent auction and reverse raffle will take place April 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost is $50 per person which includes dinner and chance to win a $2,000 raffle grand prize; $50 prize for every 25th ticket pulled. Tickets are presale through April 13. Familia Women's Study Group to meet The Familia Women's Study Group meets from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. every two weeks on a Tuesday (excluding June through August). Meetings this month are scheduled April 15 and 29. This development of Regnum Christi is a four-year study of "Family Life in America." The Bible, the Catechism and church documents pertaining to women and family life are studied in an effort to gain a closer relationship with God and to serve others. The Medjugorje Prayer Group is hosting Ivan Dragicevic April 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. for an evening including praying the Rosary and Mass followed by a presentation. Dragicevic is one of six children to whom the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Hercegovina, formerly called Yugoslavia. The Mother of Jesus Christ began appearing to these six young people on June 24, 1981. Dragicevic's apparitions began at age 16 and continue today. Although he speaks fluent English, he will speak in his native Croatian with an interpreter. Open to all. Queen of Heaven Church is located at 1800 Steese Road in Green. Munroe Road, will receive the gospel story in pictures at their monthly breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m. April 13. Robert Myers, a retired Salvation Army officer, will present the story in chalk pictures as he speaks. Events at the church this week include: * April 6 -- New members received at both the 9 and 10:35 a.m. worship services; Sunbeams and Sonshine Singers children's choirs, 10:20; Kids Club worship rehearsal and pastor's Heaven study group, 4 p.m.; senior youth, 6. * April 7 -- Quilters, 6 p.m.; trustees, 6:30; United Methodist Women's Executive Board, 7. * April 8 -- Bible study on, Ezekiel 1-5, 7 p.m. * April 9 -- Jesus study group, 10 a.m.; Chancel Choir, 7 p.m. * April 10 -- Men's devotions and work group, 8 a.m.; Dorcas Circle, 9; Finance Committee, 6:30 p.m.; worship team, 7; On-Line Ringers, 7:15; Administrative Council, 7:30. * April 11 -- Spaghetti dinner by the Junior high youth, 6 p.m. * April 13 -- Kids Club in charge of both worship services. Church of New Hope The Church of New Hope will host an evening of singing hymns April 13 starting at 6 p.m. The Rev.
