Ninety-eight Tallmadge High School students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement April 8 at the 37th Annual Distinguished Scholars Breakfast, which took place in the Student Center Ballroom on the Kent State University campus. The program is co-sponsored by the Tallmadge Lions Club, the Tallmadge Rotary Club and the THS PTSA.

Senior Dana Crawford served as emcee. Classmates Ben Cochran who offered the invocation and Jonathan Lampley who delivered the challenge to the underclassmen joined her on the podium.

To be recognized as a Distinguished Scholar, freshmen and sophomore students must have earned a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 4.00. Juniors must have a minimum 3.95 grade-point average and seniors a 3.90 grade-point average.
