Tallmadge Dems to Cinco De Mayo fundraiser

The Tallmadge Democratic Club will host its second annual "Cinco De Mayo Fundraiser" May 9 from 7 to 11 p.m., at the Tallmadge Community Center (80 Community Road just east of the Circle).

Enjoy music, Southwestern tacos and Democratico amigos. Join Keynote speaker Congressman Tim Ryan, County Executive Russ Pry, Mayor Chris Grimm, Summit County Clerk Dan Horrigan and area Democratic candidates and office holders. Tickets are $20 per amigo, $35 a pareja.

Fundraising event May 7

Judge Lynne Callahan, a candidate for the Summit County Common Pleas Court this November, will host a "Cinco de Mayo Plus 2" fundraiser on May 7, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Mexican-themed event will be at The Chummery, 1343 Weathervane Lane, in Akron (in the valley).
