Gritton, Hill exchange vows

Ashley Gritton and Jay Hill were united in marriage April 12, on a beach in Emerald Isle, NC. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Dr. John Schluep.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and Joyce Gritton of Worthington. The bridegroom is the son of Jon and Melinda Hill of Tallmadge.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an Angelina Faccenda mermaid style gown. She carried a bouquet of pale yellow roses, pink gerber daisies and green hydrangea.

Jessie Costello, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Maggie Hill, the bridegroom's sister, Lynn Heward, friend of the bride and Leslie Saunders, friend of the bride. Madeleine Longmeyer, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Andrew Allman, friend of the bridegroom, served as best man. Bridegroomsmen were Matt Lyons, JT Kuzior and Joe Perkins, all friends of the bridegroom. Aiden Longmeyer, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

The bride is a graduate of Thomas Worthington High School and Ohio University. She is employed at Onslow County Schools.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Tallmadge High School and Ohio University. He is employed at the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

The couple honeymooned at Asheville, NC, and now reside in Emerald Isle, NC.
