World War II Navy veteran
Robert G. Brumbaugh, 92, died May 21, 2009.
Born in Akron, Mr. Brumbaugh lived all of his life in the area. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired as a truck driver with Schubert Industries in 1976.
Mr. Brumbaugh was preceded in death by his parents, August and Rosa Brumbaugh; sister, Helen Parker; and brother, Walter Brumbaugh. He is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Carolina; nieces, Roseann and Marlene Sach of Rootstown; nephews, David Sach of Stow, Marty Sach of California and Robert Brumbaugh of Tallmadge; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Brumbaugh Cassidy.
Donations may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Fairlawn 44321.
Donovan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
