ALBERT E. CAPREZ

Served in Swiss Air Force,
member of Tallmadge United Methodist Church

Albert E. Caprez, 81, died June 7, 2009.

Born in Baden, Switzerland, Mr. Caprez had lived in Tallmadge for the past 26 years. He served in the Swiss Air Force. He was co-owner of Akron Pattern Works, retiring in 1998 with 45 years service. He was a member of Tallmadge United Methodist Church, the Akron Board of Trade and president of the Akron Swiss Club. He was an active participant in victims rights legislation. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking and reading.

Mr. Caprez was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Angelina Caprez; brothers, Reto and Walter Caprez and stepson, Tracy J. Parks. He is survived by his wife, Grace; daughter, Michele Caprez of Copley; son, Gregg (Michelle) Caprez of Bath; stepchildren, Paul (Ronda) Parks of Canal Fulton, Cathy (Frank) Edwards of Green, and Gary (Debra) Parks of Morehead City, N.C.; grandchildren, Danielle, Maxwell, Ryan, Muriel, Felicia, Paul, Lorna, Kevin, Megan and Landis; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companion, Amanda.

Memorial donations may be made to Tallmadge United Methodist Church Youth Fund, 207 N. Munroe Road, Tallmadge 44278 or the Haven of Rest, 175 E. Market St., Akron 44308.

Donovan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
