by Amanda Harnocz Reporter Tallmadge -- A design agency in charge of branding big businesses like Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Costco made the move to Tallmadge. The company, 78 Design House: A Taylor and Yaquinto Co., which employs four people from Tallmadge, Akron and Stow, is a full-service design house specializing in fully-loaded branding programs. The company was started 20 years ago by Chris Taylor, and eventually Carol Yaquinto became a co-owner. The company specializes in ads, graphic designs and Web site designs for small and large companies. 78 Design House has about 100 clients, said Todd Yaquinto of Tallmadge, creative director. Yaquinto said the business had been located in Akron since 1990, but "we have always enjoyed Tallmadge ... and wanted to be part of a great community." Owner Taylor of Akron bought the building at 78 Northeast Ave. in 2008 and has since renovated it, said Yaquinto, noting that Taylor grew up in Tallmadge. "Excited with a newly renovated office and making positive changes in the company, they decided a branding change was needed," said Yaquinto, adding the business was formerly known as Taylor and Yaquinto Design. Yaquinto said the move to Tallmadge will force the business to "roll up our sleeves and dig into our clients' marketing demographic" while keeping current customers. Mayor Christopher Grimm said he is "excited to welcome a new company and glad to have them in the community." For more information, visit www.78designhouse.com.
