THOMAS ALAN FLOWER Electrical engineer, grandfather Thomas Alan Flower, 62, died June 10, 2009. Born in Warren May 31, 1947, Mr. Flower lived the past seven years in Tallmadge. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cleveland State University. He retired in 2005 from FirstEnergy with 34 years of service as an electrical engineer. He was a member of Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, clerk of session and treasurer. He also served in Eastminster Presbytery as elder and committee member. Mr. Flower was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur H. Flower and Emma Olga Flower and brother, Richard "Whitey" Flower. He is survived by his wife, the Rev. Pamela Louise Flower; daughter, Amanda May Flower of Tallmadge; son, Andrew Thomas (Nicole Lynn) Flower of Akron; sisters, Marge Lawrence of Detroit, Dorothy Chamberlin and Betty Forrest, both of Warren; and granddaughter, Isabella Yvonne Flower. Memorial donations may be made to Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, 1430 Goodyear Blvd., Akron 44305. Donovan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Comments
