Two longtime Tallmadge businesses hosted grand opening celebrations Sept. 18, officially welcoming the public to their new addresses in Tallmadge Center Plaza, located at 137 East Ave.

Carol Martin, owner of Carol Martin Salon and Day Spa, Suite 105, has been in the city for 36 years. Martin said she more than doubled the amount of space from her last facility. Services offered include hair styling and color, traditional and air brush makeup application, manicures, pedicures, massage, facials, body waxing and body wraps. Martin said the salon now employs 22, adding four additional workers to help staff her expanded business.

Robert Williams, owner of Tallmadge Photography/Robert Williams Studio, Suite 38, has been in Tallmadge for 18 years.

Williams said although the square footage of his new facility is comparable to that of his last, it is configured differently. In addition to being a full service photography studio, Williams said he has added a frame shop for custom framing and a full gallery which will feature fine art photography, as well as three dimensional art, such as sculpture and pottery. Meet the artist events are in his future plans.

"I'm really excited about the gallery," he said.
