Valerie Lynn Rensel, 46, died Jan. 11, 2010.
Born in Akron, Ms. Rensel lived in Tallmadge for most of her life. She attended Our Lady of The Elms, Weaver School and Workshop and most recently was cared for by the staff at Support Care in Tallmadge.
Ms. Rensel was an avid sports fan. She followed the Indians, Browns and the Buckeyes through her youth. She enjoyed listening to the BeeGee's and her many cassette tapes. According to her family, Ms. Rensel was a tough opponent at "pig" on her outdoor court. They said they will always remember her "underhand" foul shot and that she didn't miss.
Ms. Rensel was preceded in death by her father, Albion "Jim" Rensel and sister, Candy O'Neill. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Rensel of Tallmadge; sisters, Diane Muldowney of Norwalk, Conn., Michelle Mueller of Quaker City and Kelly Welch; brothers, John (Sally) Rensel of Tallmadge and Mark (Linda) Rensel of Stow and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Support Care, 2069 Midway Drive, Twinsburg, 44087.
Donovan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
