WILLIAM B. BOX JR.

U.S. Marine Corps veteran,
Our Lady of Victory member

William B. Box Jr., 61, died Jan. 22, 2010.

Born in Akron, Mr. Box lived most of his life in the Tallmadge area. He served as a Marine during the Vietnam War and was a truck driver with Yellow Freight for 25 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and VFW Post 209. According to his family, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, helping neighbors and tinkering with his toys.

Mr. Box was preceded in death by his parents, William and Joan Box Sr. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Christy; daughter, Theresa (Bill) Cummins; son, Brian Box (Michelle Oles) both of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Christopher, Kennedy and Billy Hunter; and other children Gabbi, Lani, Lexi, Courtney and Kylee; sister, Elizabeth; and brothers, Jesse (Elaine) Box and Denny Box, both of Akron, and Donald Box of Georgia.
