PAUL RAGLE JR.

World War II veteran, retired mail carrier

Paul Ragle Jr., 89, died Jan. 24, 2010.

Born in Akron, Mr. Ragle lived in the Tallmadge-Hudson area for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired in 1975 as a mail carrier from the U.S. Post Office in Akron. He was a member of Western Reserve Christian Church of Hudson.

Mr. Ragle was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Charlotte Ragle and a brother, Jack Ragle. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. Ragle; daughters, Mrya (William R.) West, Patricia (the Rev. Kerry) Reed and Janet (Steve) Gartner; sons, William (Sherrill) Ragle, Warren (Recia) Ragle, the Rev. Paul M. (Connee) Ragle, Andrew (Patricia) Ragle and Peter (Beth) Ragle; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Lucak; and sister-in-law, Kay Ragle.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Donations may be made in Mr. Ragle's name to the Memorial Fund at the Western Reserve Christian Church, 516 W. Streetsboro St., Hudson 44236.

Donovan Bagnoli Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
