Tallmadge bowling programs fall to Green

The Tallmadge girls bowling team dropped to 8-3 after losing a 1,986-1,867 decision to Green (8-2) Feb. 3 at Midway Bowling Lanes in Akron.

Jenny DeMarco led Tallmadge with games of 169 and 165, respectively. 

Also competing for Tallmadge were Amy Roth (163-135) and Michelle Richard (124-162).

Green also scored a 1,512-1,295 win in the junior varsity matchup. 

Nicole Kreitzsburg (123-114), Hannah Gibson (112-110) and Abby Collins (107-103) competed for Tallmadge.

The Tallmadge boys bowling team dropped to 5-4 on the season after losing a 1,759-1,678 decision to Green Feb. 1.

Green improved to 8-0. Nick Krainess had the high game (207) and high series (362). He also bowled a 155.

Ryan Debord (131-141) and Travis LeVan (121-132) also contributed.

The Tallmadge junior varsity boys team dropped to 5-4 with a lopsided 1,951-1,409 loss to Green (7-1).

Donald McKenzie (150-133), Pat Riley (126-127) and Austin Giles (118-131) led Tallmadge.

The Tallmadge girls were scheduled to bowl against Akron East Feb. 11 at AMF Riviera Lanes in Fairlawn. Results were not available at press time.

They are set to bowl against Akron Archbishop Hoban Feb. 17 at Great Oaks Lanes Inc. in Wadsworth. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:05 p.m.

The Tallmadge boys were set to host Akron East Feb. 10 at Tallmadge Lanes. 

Bowling is scheduled to begin at 4:05 p.m.
