by Amanda Harnocz Reporter Akron -- Two woman involved in a fight in Akron March 6 gave new meaning to the term "finger food." Tallmadge resident Dawn Snyder, 27, was arrested March 10 for allegedly biting off the tip of an Akron woman's finger during a fight at an Akron bar on Kenmore Boulevard March 6. She was charged with aggravated assault (a fourth-degree felony), disorderly conduct (a fourth-degree misdemeanor) and disorderly conduct by intoxication (a minor misdemeanor), according to Akron Lt. Rick Edwards. According to police, Snyder was not identified as the "finger-biter" until detectives followed up on the case a few days later, said Edwards. A fight between a few individuals broke out at 2 a.m. March 6 and spilled into the parking lot after Snyder was allegedly yelling derogatory words at some bar patrons, according to Akron police reports. After the scuffle poured out into the parking lot, Snyder "somehow bit the finger tip of [the victim's] right index finger off," it stated in the report. Snyder was arraigned last week at the Akron Municipal Court. E-mail: aharnocz@recordpub.com Phone: 330-686-3911 Comments
