How would you describe Tallmadge to someone who has never been here?
A small, pleasant city with a scenic traffic circle offering an everyday exciting challenge.
What is your favorite activity in Tallmadge?
Working at home and at the animal hospital; talking with neighbors and friends and having our kids and grandchildren visit us at the home we built here in 1979.
Hobbies/Interests: Veterinary medicine and surgery, scuba diving, photography, music, my tractor and cheering for Ohio State and Cleveland sports.
If a movie were made about your life, what would the title be and which actor would play you? "Indiana Mike and the Adventures of an Ohio Vet," played by Harrison Ford.
What was the last book you read? In addition to professional books, a Harry Potter book was the last fictional book I read.
What is your biggest accomplishment? Fulfilling my dream of becoming a veternarian and continuing to proudly care for pets and their people since graduating from Ohio State University 40 years ago; my wife Susan and I raising our son, Ryan and daughter, Kara.
Whom do you most admire (excluding relatives)? Walt Disney, a visionary genius who with courage, determination made his dreams come true for the entire world to treasure and enjoy.
Something most people don't know about me is ... I served in the U.S. Army as a Captain, Veterinary Corps, from 1967 to 1969, including a Vietnam tour from 1968 to 1969.
