Community breakfast
A Sunday Community Breakfast has been set for Feb. 3 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and the first Sunday of each month. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and accompaniments.
The cost for preschool children is $2 and all others is $4.
Friday Lenten dinners
During Lent, dinners will be served Fridays from Feb. 8 through March 14 in the Queen of Heaven Parish Life Center. Carryout or dining-room service will be available from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost of dinners including coffee/tea and sides: Fried or baked fish -- $8, fried shrimp -- $9, fish/shrimp combo -- $9, pierogies or macaroni and cheese -- $6. Other beverages, desserts and preschool-children's portions will be available.
Ash Wednesday
Ashes will be distributed on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 6, during the following Masses: 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the church and 1 p.m. at Greenview Inn, 4000 Massillon Road.
Lenten Mass schedule
The weekday Mass schedule during Lent, will be: 8:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday and additionally at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Stations of the Cross
Stations of the Cross devotions will be scheduled during Lent Fridays at 7:15 p.m., following the 6:30 p.m. Mass. On Good Friday, Stations are scheduled for 7 p.m. More information: 330-896-2345

Tallmadge Methodist Church Men to host Sweetheart Brunch
United Methodist Men of Tallmadge United Methodist Church, 207 N. Munroe Road, will host their annual Sweetheart Brunch Feb.10. The event will follow a combined worship service at 9:30 a.m.
All women of the church will be honored and receive a flower.
Entertainment will be provided by the Jubilee Puppets from the First Church of God in Tallmadge. The More Men's Tab 'N Apple Choir also will sing.

Consequences
of hearing loss
First Congregational Church's Women's Fellowship invites the public to hear Karen Farrar discuss hearing loss and its consequences Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. Farrar is an audiologist at Summa Heath System. A light lunch for $4 will follow.
Lenten discussion groups
Small discussion groups will gather for six weeks during Lent, beginning the week of Feb. 10. Each week will cover two to three chapters of the gospel of Mark, and each participant will be given a packet with three to four pages per week of commentary and discussion questions to illuminate the readings. Tallmadge Lutheran Church
Tallmadge Lutheran Church, 759 East Ave., will mark the beginning of Lent with an Ash Wednesday service beginning at 6:30 p.m. and includes the Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion. A hot meal will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. "Faith and the Cross" is the theme for the six-week Lenten series.
