Booster club has
several events
The Tallmadge Athletic Booster Club has three more events scheduled in 2008.
The third annual auction, named "Jeans and Jewels," is set for April 25 at the Tangier in Akron at 6 p.m. The Blue Devil Open Golf Outing is set to take place June 22 at Brookledge Golf Course in Cuyahoga Falls. The annual reverse raffle is planned for Aug. 7 at Guy's Party Center.
All of the events planned for 2008 are designed to generate funds for athletic boosters to achieve their goals in supporting Tallmadge Middle School and Tallmadge High School student-athletes in grades 7 through 12.

Women's golf league
returns in May
The Brookledge Ladies Golf League is scheduled to start its 2008 season in May. New members are encouraged to participate every Thursday morning for nine holes of golf. No subs are required as there is only individual play.
The season runs from May 1 through Aug. 28 with tee times beginning at 8:04 a.m. A kick-off luncheon is planned for April 17 at Papa Joe's Restaurant located at 1561 Akron-Peninsula Road in Akron at 12:30 p.m.

Ohio Eagles Youth Baseball has openings for the following youth baseball tournaments to be played at Kent State University and local fields:
April 26 and 27: 11- through 14-year-old players
May 10-11: 11-14

'Swim for Diabetes'
scheduled for April 5
The 23rd annual Swim for Diabetes is scheduled to take place April 5 from 3 to 6 p.m. at 75 pool locations throughout Northeast Ohio, including Southeast YMCA in Bedford.
