Tallmadge -- Police arrested two Akron men on April 11 and charged them with illegal assembly and aggravated possession of drugs following a traffic stop on North Thomas Road at 11:49 p.m. where police discovered marijuana, suspected methamphetamines and six bags containing pseudoephedrine in the vehicle. The Summit County Drug Task Force was contacted and the vehicle was towed.
OVI, prohibition, drug paraphernalia
April 12. Speeding leads to drug charges: Police arrested a Rootstown man and charged him with OVI, prohibition and possession of drug paraphernalia after patrol officers clocked him driving 50 mph in a 35 mph zone on Howe Road at 3:45 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted and according to the report, the man was subsequently arrested for OVI. A can of beer was allegedly discovered inside the vehicle.

April 13. Akron man arrested for alleged OVI: Police arrested an Akron man and charged him with OVI and drug possession after the vehicle he was driving was observed making marked lane violations on West Avenue at 1:34 a.m. According to the report, the driver was found to be impaired through officer observation and field sobriety tests. He was transferred to Munroe Falls Police Department for a breathalizer test and then to the Tallmadge Police Department for a urine test. He was booked and released on a personal recognizance bond.
