Tallmadge -- On April 18, police stopped a juvenile driving on South Munroe Road at 1:27 a.m. after he was observed driving left of center, according to police. According to the report, the driver reeked of alcohol. Officers reported discovering a lock blade folding knife on the suspect, which they confiscated. The suspect was placed under arrest for alleged carrying a concealed weapon and OVI, transported to Munroe Falls Police Department for a breathalyzer test, processed at Tallmadge Police Department and released into the custody of his father.
Theft
April 17. Break light removed from vehicle: An employee of a Southeast Avenue business told police sometime between 6 p.m. April 12 and 7 a.m. April 17, someone removed a $90 brake light from a vehicle parked in the lot. Extra patrols were requested.
OVI
April 16. Shaker Heights man arrested on West Avenue: Police arrested a Shaker Heights man and charged him with OVI after police conducted a traffic stop on West Avenue at 2:08 a.m. for an alleged illegal U-turn, weaving and crossing marked lanes.
