Oliver, Duffy trade vows

Erin Duffy and Michael Oliver were united in marriage June 28, at The Chapel in Akron. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Rick McKee.

The bride is the daughter of Don and Debbie Duffy of Tallmadge. The bridegroom is the son of Mike and Julie Oliver of Tallmadge.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white, strapless, satin gown with organza overlay, beaded lace and a satin cuff at the top of the dress with buttons all the way down the dress. She carried a bouquet of white and pink roses, calla lilies and stephanotis.

Shannon Duffy of Tallmadge, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Oliver, sister of the bridegroom and Katie Koppelman, Kerry Vana, Diana Prulhiere and Laura Kot, all friends of the bride. Makaleigh Donges, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

Shaun Rine of Tallmadge, friend of bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Tim Detweiler, Jon Hendrix, Nathan Hudson, Roger Hayes and Casey Jirsa, all friends of bridegroom.

Nolan Oliver, cousin of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

The reception took place at NEOUCOM Conference and Event Center.

The bride is a graduate of Tallmadge High School and Kent State University. She is employed at Manchester Local School District as a second grade teacher.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Tallmadge High School and the University of Akron. He is employed at Babcock and Wilcox as a structural engineer.

The couple honeymooned at Jamaica, and now reside in Tallmadge.
