Boyer installed as Ohio Pharmacist PresidentApril 17, 2008

COLUMBUS, OHIO.... David M. Boyer, R.Ph. of Tallmadge, OH was installed as President of the Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) at its 130th Annual Conference held April 11-13 in Columbus. Boyer, a staff pharmacist for Summa Health Systems in Akron, is a past vice-president of the Ohio Pharmacists Foundation Board of Trustees. He volunteered as regional vice-president of the Pharmacists Rehabilitation Organization, Inc., which helps recovering pharmacists return to the practice of pharmacy. He has given presentations on a variety of topics to pharmacists, pharmacy students and the public in his community. In 2000, he received the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy Norman F. Billups Distinguished Alumni Service Award. He is a past president of the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists, which awarded him their highest honor " the Walter M. Frazier Award. Boyer also holds membership in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. The OPA, established in 1879, represents more than 4,000 pharmacists, pharmacy educators, and pharmacy students throughout the state. # # # Comments
