This arguing about the failed levy has to stop. It's silly. But before I do I have to comment on the comparison of a citizen's letter about how misinformed the anti-levy people are with the story about proposed private busing. Isn't it funny? I mean here we have the same old song: The voters are uninformed, uninformed, uninformed. Yeah? And then we see this news article about how, and I quote, "The contract being proposed will offer the same services as this year...." and it also says "...would save about $200,000 next year." One wonders why they have not contracted for private busing before now. Oh, and didn't they do well in getting a whopping $500K for that middle school.

The new editor of T.E. has had my letter edited for no reason. My original version was way better and expressed MY feelings. Why should they be edited? It was not any longer and it was more appropriately written.

The Tallmadge schools are run for the benefit of the school employees and not the kids. They only want good pay and benefits at the expense of us real estate taxpayers. The answer is simple for each levy vote - NO!

There are many more cuts to be made and a new levy is not needed. Why not relook at healthcare costs. It's obvious that the school employees need to pay more. Private employees are paying 30-50% of their own healthcare costs, why not the school emplyees too? Why not cut salaries 10% like most private sector employees have had done to them?

Until it's done right - just vote NO on all school levies in Tallmadge. Retirees and Layoffees can't afford to pay more.
