Dorothy L. Sloat

Dorothy L. Sloat, 95, died Dec. 10, 2012.

Mrs. Sloat was born in New Albany, Ind., lived in the Akron area most of her life and the past five years in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Dorothy worked for Akron City Hospital for 25 years as a secretary; and was a member of Firestone Park United Methodist Church and AARP.

Mrs. Sloat was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar and son, William Sloat. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Marcel) Roman of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Jim) Donovan of Tallmadge, Pauline Burner of Canton; grandchildren, Nancy (Peter) Alamia of North Carolina, Nicole (Martin) Rodgers, Lauren Roman both of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; great grandchildren, Angelo, Vito Alamia and Sloan Rodgers; and many nieces and nephews.
