Kathleen Betty Wilson
Family Child Learning Center at Children's Hospital retiree,
Kathleen Betty Wilson, 71, died Oct. 11, 2013, at her Tallmadge home surrounded by family.
Mrs. Wilson was born March 20, 1942, the second child born to Max and Maudetta Schultz. Mrs. Wilson was known for her energy and positive outlook on life. Family members say the color that most described her was purple, "the color of good judgment, and the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment." Mrs. Wilson embraced this color, they say, and shared it with those around her. "It is said that if you surround yourself with the color purple, it will bring you peace of mind and serenity."
Mrs. Wilson began her professional career teaching third grade. After spending a decade teaching young minds, she joined the Family Child Learning Center of Children's Hospital where she worked for more than 30 years. She was a proud and active member of Business and Professional Women of Ohio and the East Ohio Conference of United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her brother, George Schultz; son, Charles Wilson; daughter-in-law, Lisa Wilson; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
