Richard W. Clem, 49, died Dec. 16, 2013.
Mr. Clem was born in Bedford and resided most of his life in Tallmadge. He was a 1983 Tallmadge High School graduate and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in finance from The University of Akron. He was the owner of Accurate Lawn Maintenance and Manager of Tallmadge Towne Apartments for more than 25 years.
Known as an extremely "hard working, kind hearted, generous man who was dedicated to his family and friends," Mr. Clem loved a good football game and was an avid animal lover. He was also considered to have a great sense of humor with the ability to make everyone laugh, and could tell a story like no other. "Professor Clem," as his family often referred to him, loved to explain theories and how things worked and was often told he missed his calling and should have been a teacher.
Mr. Clem is survived by his wife of 18 years, Debora; daughters, Alexis and Alyssa; son, Evan; father, James L. Clem Sr. of South Carolina; mother, Barbara L. Johnson of Akron; sisters, Deborah (Sanford) Rich of Darien, Conn. and Diane L. Anderson of Tallmadge; brother, James L. Clem Jr. of Tallmadge; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
