Eileen A. Mutchie
Our Lady of Victory Church member; active in American Legion Post 255 Auxiliary,
Tallmadge AARP and Primetimers
Eileen A. Mutchie, 97, died Feb. 5, 2014.
Born in Boston, Mass., Mrs. Mutchie had lived in the Tallmadge area since 1959. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, where she sang in the funeral choir, and was in the Women's Guild Sponsi Club. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 255 Auxiliary, Tallmadge AARP, Primetimers, Haven of Rest Ladies Auxiliary and Lenore Hall Women's Auxiliary. She volunteered her time at St. Thomas Hospital and belonged to the St. Thomas Hospital Women's Guild. She also volunteered for Right to Life of Akron for more than 12 years and served as an usher at Akron Civic Theater.
Preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Mutchie and grandson, Thomas Mutchie, II, Mrs. Mutchie is survived by her sons, John "Jack" W. Mutchie of Akron and Thomas G. (Robin) Mutchie of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Valerie, Kevin (Robin), Lynn Jenkins, Christine (Mike) Morgan and Tommy (Christina); great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sam Watkins.
