John R. Bell
World War II Army veteran, Roadway retiree, enjoyed bowling, traveling
John R. Bell, 88, of Tallmadge died July 7, 2014.
Born in Reynoldsville, W. Va., Mr. Bell lived in the Tallmadge area most of his life. He was a truck driver for Roadway, retiring in 1991 with 35 years service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Chapel Hill Christian Missionary Alliance Church. He enjoyed bowling and traveling, spending time with his family, and he had a friendly and outgoing personality.
Preceded in death by his parents, David and Sarah Bell; wife, Rosey; a brother and two sisters, he is survived by daughters, Shirley (Junior) Strader and Linda Lowe; sons, David (Vickie) Bell, Ron (Claudia) Bell and Ken Bell; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Goldie, Nina (Bud), and Marie (Lee); and brother, Bob (Wilma).
