Theft

 Groceries taken from store: An employee of a West Avenue business told police Nov. 2 he saw a man leave the store without paying for groceries estimated at $75.

 Akron man caught taking hygiene products: Police issued a summons for theft to a 44-year-old Akron man Nov. 7 after an employee of a Midway Plaza business told police he saw the man conceal miscellaneous hygiene products valued at $51 on his person and leave the store without paying.

Possession of chemicals used in the manufacture of drugs

 Trio found with drug related contraband in vehicle: Police arrested a 32-year-old Barberton man, a 24-year-old Washington state woman and a 24-year-old Akron woman and charged them with possession of chemical used in the manufacture of drugs after stopping their vehicle, which had no front license plate on East Avenue at 2:20 p.m. Nov. 2. According to the report, the officer discovered the man had an outstanding warrant and drug related contraband was found in the vehicle. The trio was booked and transported to the Summit County Jail.
