The Community Outreach of Love or COOL ministry blanketed a section of Tallmadge with service on June 3. The efforts on Stadium Drive took physical form in the hands of volunteers from area churches who applied fresh coats of paint, planted flowers or blacktopped driveways.

People Serving People is a local sewing group founded by Hannah Seeker of Tallmadge 26 years ago. Her daughter, Ruth Hoisington, has subsequently taken over as the group's leader. The group currently has 19 members which serve 25 organizations.
