Students participate in Olympic Games

Fourth- and fifth-grade students at Munroe Elementary School recently competed in 10 different events that make up the Winter Olympics. Each classroom chose a color theme to represent their homeroom class and each child participated in one or two events.

Tallmadge City School District to host silent auction On March 9, Tallmadge City School District's Leaders in Action will host a silent auction at Tallmadge High School, located at 140 N. Munroe Road, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This is the second year this event has taken place.

Advanced Metals Class seeking bicycles

Bikes Wanted! The bicycle chop-shop is back. The Advanced Metals class at Tallmadge High School is designing and engineering human-powered machines for their final project. Students will be welding, machining and fabricating their machines from recycled bicycles.

Munroe Fourth-grader recognized by Cavs for academic achievement

Jacob Bishop, a fourth-grader in Cerafina Gotto's class at Munroe Elementary School, has received straight A's for the last two grading periods. On Feb. 1, Jacob received a letter in the mail from the Cleveland Cavaliers Straight "A" All-Star program congratulating him on his achievement.
