Wedding: Kimberly Shanafelt & Matthew Jones

Kimberly Ann Shanafelt and Matthew Lee Jones were married May 4, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kent with the Rev. Elizabeth Hazelton officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Teresa Shanafelt of Tallmadge.

The bridegroom is the son of Owen Jones of Brunswick and Elaine Jones of Fairlawn.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a full-length white gown with train of silk and organza. The dress featured a sweetheart neckline and was accented with pearls and appliques. She wore kelly green shoes to match her bridesmaids gowns.

The bride carried a bouquet of white lilies and roses and green hydrangea.

The wedding colors were green, black and silver.

Ceremony music was provided by Cindy Howard.

Danielle Cross of Mogadore, a friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Heldman of Stow and Denise Shanafelt of Kent, sisters of the bride; Amanda Smith of Massillon, friend of the bride; and Michelle Jones of Berea, sister of the bridegroom. Mackenzie Shanafelt of Kent, niece of the bride, was a junior bridesmaid.

Bobby McCutcheon and Nick Plant, both of Akron and both friends of the bridegroom, served as best men. Groomsmen were Chris Herbert of Akron, Doug Wahlert of Canton and Mario Kaschner of Uniontown, all friends of the bridegroom.

Ushers were Jeremy Heldman of Stow, brother-in-law of the bride; and Ryan Pursley of Kent, friend of the bride.

Trey Shanafelt of Kent, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Blake Heldman of Stow, nephew of the bride, was the baby in the wagon.

A reception took place at St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church in Akron

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Field High School and a 2008 graduate of Kent State University, College of Nursing. She is employed by Akron General Medical Center as a registered nurse in the electrophysiology department.

The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Lake High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Akron. He is employed by All Pro RV in Alliance.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana in the Dominion Republic. They reside in Akron.
