Tallmadge gymnastics team fares well in Uniontown

The American Elite gymnastics team in Tallmadge competed at the Gymnastics of Ohio Gym Stars Meet.
The competition concluded Nov. 4 in Uniontown.
The following gymnasts participated:
Level 3
• Ava Sheeler: bars, third place, 8.8; beam, 8.75; floor, second, 8.3; vault, first, 9; and all-around, third, 34.85
• Emma Scott (Tallmadge resident): bars, second, 8.45; beam, first, 9.6; floor, 8.15; vault, second, 8.8; and all-around, first, 35

The team’s next meet is scheduled for Nov. 18 in Ashtabula. The team is collecting new and slightly worn coats, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves and other items for “Operation Warm” for families in need until Nov. 15.
The team also is planning a trip to Pittsburgh Nov. 16 for the Kellogg’s Tour to see the US Olympic Team.
