Quartet honored
Four Tallmadge volleyball players were honored recently.
Emma Mathieson earned first-team All-Suburban League and all-district honors. Demi DeLorenzo was named to the all-league second team. She also received honorable mention to the all-district team.
Meryl Wiebrecht and Morgan Stack, a four-year letter winner, received honorable mention to the all-league team.

Girls league offered
The Tallmadge Lady Blue Devils 2012-13 Youth Basketball Rec League is set to take place Dec. 1 and 15 and Jan. 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Tallmadge Middle School.
The league is open to any girl in grades three through six. The league is hosted by the Tallmadge High School girls basketball coaching staff and players. Players will get league jerseys, fundamental skill instruction, competitions and prizes, five-on-five games and position-specific drills

Gymnast fares well
n Tallmadge resident Kaitlyn Roberts, a member of the American Elite gymnastics team in Tallmadge, competed at the Gymnastics of Ohio Gym Stars Meet Nov. 4 in Uniontown.
Roberts, a Level 3 gymnast, placed first on the floor (8.75) and third on vault (8.75) to finish second in the all-around standings (34.7). She also scored an 8.2 on bars and a nine on beam.

Race scheduled
The Aurora Turkey Trot 4-mile race is scheduled to take place Nov. 22 at 8:30 a.m. at Aurora Farms Premium Outlets.
