The host Tallmadge boys basketball team fell to 1-9 overall and 1-5 in the Suburban League after losing a convincing 70-35 decision to Green Jan. 4 at Tallmadge High School's James O. Maddox Court.
The Bulldogs scored the first 17 points and jumped out to a 25-2 lead early in the second quarter.
A total of 11 players scored for Green (9-0, 6-0). Austin Marciniak and Josh Pritchard each had 12 points for the Bulldogs. Andrew Francesconi had 12 points for the Blue Devils, who lost a 46-32 decision in the junior varsity contest.
The girls basketball team's game with Green Jan. 5 in Tallmadge has been postponed. The game is rescheduled for Jan. 9 at Tallmadge High School. Junior varsity tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
