Tallmadge girls bowlers place fourth in Youngstown

The Tallmadge girls bowling team placed fourth with a total of 2,789 at the 10-team Youngstown State University Holiday Tournament Dec. 29 at Camelot Lanes.

Austintown Fitch won the five-team competition with a score of 3,361 and Boardman (3,201) and Uniontown Lake (3,142) finished second and third, respectively.

Abby Collins (120-192-183) led the Lady Blue Devils, who beat Champion (2-1) and lost to Boardman (2-0).

Also faring well for Tallmadge were Jennie Kiss (136-163-166) and Madison Stock (125-145-170).

The Lady Blue Devils placed fourth with a score of 3,095 at the four-team Christmas Tournament Dec. 28 at Midway Lanes in Akron.

Green (3,409) won the competition and Boardman (3,201) and Uniontown Lake (3,142) placed second and third, respectively.

Kiss (159-214-191) led Tallmadge and Nicole Kreitzburg (176-165-160), Collins (145-140-194) and Stock (185-148-139) also fared well.

The Lady Blue Devils are set to compete in the Black Tiger Classic Jan. 6 at Legend Lanes in Cuyahoga Falls. Bowling is set to begin at 10 a.m.

Tallmadge is set to compete against Akron Kenmore Jan. 7 at Fast Lanes before heading to Midway Lanes Jan. 9 to face Walsh Jesuit.

Both matches are scheduled to take place at 4:15 p.m.

The Lady Blue Devils are set to visit Midway Lanes to compete against Wadsworth Jan. 12 at 1 p.m.
