The host Tallmadge boys and girls swimming teams fell to 0-5 in the Suburban League after losing to Green Jan. 16.
The boys lost a 122-48 decision and the girls dropped a 132-31 decision.
"Overall, I am very pleased with everybody's performance," Tallmadge first-year head coach Ryan Miller said. "Freshman Dominic Di Salvo continues to get better and post great times. Watching him swim, you would never believe this is first year swimming. Raymond Riter is a major asset to this team. I can put him in any event and feel confident. These athletes train hard every single day and I can't wait until they see how much it's going to pay off."
On Jan. 14, host Tallmadge settled for a split with Youngstown Cardinal Mooney.
The boys improved to 4-5 with a 106-24 win. The girls, who have just six members on the team, fell to 0-9 after dropping a 108-43 decision.
Joey Sincel won two events and was part of two winning relays.
He placed first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2 minutes, 51.22 seconds and the 100 freestyle (56.89).
Sincel also joined Michael Kenny, Riter and Andrew Wilk on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:42.24) .
Sincel, Wilk, Riter and Kenny led the 400 freestyle relay team to victory with a time of 3:54.19.
Riter won two other events for the boys team, which posted a 98-61 win over Crestwood Jan. 7 at home.
He triumphed in the 50 freestyle (24.93).
Riter also triumphed in the 100 backstroke (1:09.8).
Also winning multiple events was Cameron Coen, who won the 200 freestyle (2:23.64) and the 100 butterfly (1:09.82.
Cameron Coen also joined Ethan Coen, Jacob DiFiore and Kenny on the winning 200 medley relay team (2:07.16).
Other victories came from Dom Cevasco in the 500 freestyle (6:34.05) and Di Salvo in the 100 breaststroke (1:17.16).
Three Lady Blue Devils placed first.
They are Sage Luedke in the 200 freestyle (2:26.4); Sam Rhine in the 100 backstroke (1:13.56); and Brittany DiFiore in the 100 breaststroke (1:16.16).
Both teams are scheduled to visit Cloverleaf Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m.
They are set to participate at the Suburban League Meet Jan. 25 at Wooster High School.
The meet is set to begin at 4 p.m.
