The Tallmadge boys bowling team improved to 8-2 on the season after posting a 2,317-2,132 victory over Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Jan. 18 at Midway Lanes in Akron.
Nick Krainess led the Blue Devils with scores of 210 and 234, respectively. Also bowling for the Blue Devils were Brendon Haven (191-159), Kody Stauffer (184-162), Andre Gilles (172-157) and Jeremy Krainess (139-157).
Tallmadge was scheduled to host Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary Jan. 24 at Eastgate Lanes in Akron before returning to Midway Lanes to face Akron East Jan. 25. The Blue Devils are set to compete at the Roseland Lanes Jan. 26 in Oakwood Village. Results of those competitions were not available at press time.
Tallmadge is set to entertain Akron Archbishop Hoban Jan. 30 at 4:15 p.m.
