Battista finds net
Tallmadge resident Parker Battista is a left wing for the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy ice hockey team.
At the Martin Luther King Tournament Jan. 19 in Parma, Battista had a goal during the Royals' 8-1 win over Parma Heights Holy Name.
Trio plays in Kent
Tallmadge eighth-grade students Noah Polanski, Thomas Kilway and Konnor Baits are members of the Kent Cyclones ice hockey team, which is coached by Mark Goehle.
"Noah is another bantam alternate who plays both offense and defense for us," Goehle said. "Thomas is a bantam alternate and he was their team's leading scorer.
"Konnor is our bantam alternate goalie. He has the lowest goals against average in the entire bantam division, which includes 25 teams."
