"Tough times don't last, but tough people do," Tallmadge first-year head coach Ryan Miller said. "The determination of this team has carried them through a season full of injuries. They push it to the limit. Win or lose, I couldn't be more proud of my kids.
"Six team records have been set this season already -- four individual, two relays. All done in the middle of rigorous workouts, along with countless personal records. In the swim world, it's all about what we call a taper. That test will come at sectionals."
Both teams were scheduled to compete at the Suburban League Meet Jan. 25 at Wooster High School. Results were not available at press time.
They are set to participate at a Division II sectional meet Feb. 8 and 9 at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.
